Radiate Positivity in 2021 : Start with your Home

Are we there yet? I think I speak for the majority when I say that I look forward to jumping past the finish line of what seemed to be The Never Ending Story of Marathon years. Rather than focusing on the vacation that never was, or the date nights spent in robes watching Netflix, (maybe this was just me) I will shine some light in the form of visual ideas to help you get back to that #happyplace with your home again.

Sidebar... I'm not trying to break the bank here. Trust me, I can renovate over budget like the best of them! These are #quick, #simple, and #affordable ways to help spruce things up and hopefully elevate your mood as well.

A little design info:

#Pantone (my bible) is a standardized color matching system. Whether you design apparel, home textiles or hardscape, the #Pantone system is used to style code. It's the best way to universally streamline when there are so many components being produced Globally.

For example: A large retailer wants the same color throughout a cross section of departments, involving multiple fabrics, materials, finishes, using the Pantone color of the year for 2020: Classic Blue. In this scenario there would be different Countries involved producing various items such as #plates, #towels, #pillows, #blankets, etc. The best way to cut the margin of error in terms of color variance, is the #Pantone color system.

Each year Pantone comes out with a color of the year. I apply the Pantone of the year color to my designs where, when, and if it makes sense to home decor. At the end of the day, I want the customer to be happy, and my buyers happy. This typically results in positive sales. I should also mention that In my direct- to- retail business I submit new designs to my factories on a weekly basis. If I kept using one or two "colors of the year" as THE "hot" color of the moment, I would be banging my head against the wall in boredom. Therefore, you will see the variations I suggested with this latest announcement.

The colors for 2021were JUST unveiled today, and they are "Illuminating" and "Ultimate Gray".

The Vice President of The Pantone Color Institute, Laurie Pressman said "It's a combination that speaks to the resilience, the optimism and hope and positivity that we need, as we reset, renew, reimagine and reinvent".

With a message like that, how can I not immediately leap on board and start on my design work. But for the purpose of this post :) I want to show how you can enhance your home by easily including these colors, or a version-of, into your homes. I have illustrated with photos, using TAVÉ's Home Decor Style type's.
